Sofia, Capital of Bulgaria
Sofia (Bulgarian: Со́фия, translation: Sofiya) is the capital city of Bulgaria. Being located at the foot of Vitosha Mountain, Sofia stands at an altitude of 590m. The city has about 1.7 million in population alone, making it the biggest city in Bulgaria. Sofia is made up of provinces such as Sofia City, which is the main focus of this assignment.
Pollutant in Focus: PM 10
The main focus of this assignment is on PM 10. Pm 10 is a particulate matter than is 10 micrometers or less in diameter. Just for comparison, a human hair is about 100 micrometers in diameter.
