7.3 Objective 1: Version#3 - Wikimedia Foundation

In all, there are 3 indicators that interest the Wikimedia Foundation. In this section, we will stand in the position of a staff from Wikimedia Foundation and follow through how will a he/she will use and analyze the Dashboard.

Note: For Wikimedia Foundation, their focus is on "non-register" users, since they will like to convert these users into registered users.

7.3.1 Impression/Branding

In all, in the area of "Impression/Branding",

  1. In Branding, there are slightly higher proportion of positive responses among the non-registered users.
  2. However, ~28% of them do not think that Wikipedia is well-considered among their colleagues.
  3. Upon hovering, a relative higher proportion of non-registered users from "Engineering & Artchiture" have positive feedback on its branding.
  4. Also, age group of 41-50 shows a higher proportion of negative responses among its non-registered users.

7.3.2 Motivation

In all, in the area of "Motivation",

  1. Among the non-registered users, the proportional of positive feedback is higher than the negative feedbacks.
  2. It was observed that among the non-registered user, these females have slightly higher proportional of positive feedback.
  3. About 55% of these females came from "Health Science", which shown a slightly higher (than average) proportional of negative responses among them.
  4. On the other hand, while 48% of these females came from "Art & Humanities", this group of the female has a higher proportional of positive feedback.

7.3.3 Performance

In all, in the area of "Performance",

  1. Overall, non registered users has indicated proportional higher % of positive feedback.
  2. 74% of them disagree that they will cite Wiki in their academic papers.
  3. Upon hovering, we observed that non-registered users from "Engineering & Architecture" has proportionally higher % of positive feedback.
  4. Similar observation with those non-registered users from "Science", that showed higher proportional of positive feedback.
  5. But opposite trend is observed with "Law & Politics", where it showed higher proportional of negative feedback among the non-registered users.
  6. Across the age group, those non-registered users in the age group of 51-60 has shown slightly higher proportional of negative feedback.

7.3.4 Others - User Profile

In all, in the area of "User Profile",

  1. Most of the non-registered users have negative responses in their user profile.
  2. Non-registered users from "Social Science" showed a higher proportional of respondents with positive responses in "User Profile".
  3. Upon hovering, it was noticed the those in the younger age group (21-30) has shown higher proportional of positive feedback, as compared to those older.
  4. For those non-registered users that participate in social network, most of them are from "Social Science", between 31-40 for female, and 41-50 for male.
