Why Virtual TSM?
What motivates you to join TSM?
TSM is a great opportunity to find out more about how startups are able to scale up and continue innovating to keep their competitive advantage in the market. Also, I think the 'system' in Singapore sets us up to be risk-averse, which is why I am excited to be part of this journey to explore different perspectives and cultures of the entrepreneurship scene outside of Singapore!
Where would you like to visit virtually?
Silicon Valley, New York, London, Beijing, Shenzhen just to name a few! All amazing places with great startup ecosystems.
Starting a business
What types of business interest you?
Perhaps something that is related to my personal interests (health, fitness, technology, and personal finance)! More importantly, I am interested in solutions that are able to tackle the pain points and better the lives of people!
What plan do you have in starting a business?
During polytechnic studies, two of my friends and I opted to start a startup in place of our mandatory internship placement. From trying to find our product-market fit to scrambling to come up with a minimum viable product, to pitching our startup to get grants, it was truly an interesting experience that allowed me to get a glimpse into the world of startups. Although that startup might have failed, I do not regret my decision as I believe it is better to try and fail than to never try at all. For now, I am focused on honing my skills and gaining more experience before stepping back into the world of startups in the future. I am open to any opportunities that might come by, and if the right team comes together, I don't see why not!
