Why Virtual TSM?

What motivates you to join TSM?

I believe that every opportunity is a learning experience. TSM presents an unique opportunity to grow and learn as an individual. Technology has an unique way to change the world for the better. I believe that this is happens when like minded individuals come together and work on an idea [Which many might think is impossible]. TSM allows me to learn how tech startups have done this and the mechanics behind a successful startup.

On top of that, I want to meet new people during the study mission and understand the different perspectives and takes they have on technology and problem solving. Since young, I have always wanted to start something on my own and make a change in the world. Pursuing a degree in Information Systems played a part in shaping my dream to what it is today. I want to solve problems in the real world through innovative technological solutions and make a difference.

Who knows? Hopefully I meet like minded individuals and we go on to create our own successful start up.

Where would you like to visit virtually?

1. USA would be top on that list. Silicon Valley has established itself as a startup haven and it would be a great opportunity to be close to such start ups and learn how they work

2. Estonia. Estonia's focus on technopreneurship awes me. It is the home to many unicorns and has a well established start up scene is definitely second on my list.

Starting a business

What types of business interest you?

There are 2 types of businesses that interest me the most.

One that solves everyday problems in an effective manner using technology. Have you ever thought "Man, I didn't know I needed this in my life" and use that specific product almost everyday in your life? These are businesses that have done an excellent job in identifying key problems and finding an effective solution for it.

One that drives the progress of mankind forward using technology. These businesses are usually heavily criticized [Especially in the beginning stages] but when they emerge successful, everyone wants a piece of it.

What plans do you have in starting a business?

The end goal for me is to start a business that solves problems in the real world through innovative technological solutions. The journey to reach this goal is not an easy task. My mind is always looking for new ideas and my friends are not really happy with this. I call them at random times of the night pitching an idea to them and trying to get feedback to make it better.

While I work on generating ideas, I am also developing the skillsets that I believe is necessary for me to attain this goal. On top of learning and honing my technological skills, learning how tech startups work and developing soft skills required to be a technopreneur are things that I am working on.
