Mission Statement
To guide the next generation of content creators to be excellent entertainers, entrepreneurs, and community leaders using the best in today’s media technology.
Background
According to a round-up of data from Twitch, YouTube, and Mixer, the number of hours of livestreaming content has increased by 99% from April 2019 to April 2020. Twitch alone saw a 3.5 million increase in brand new streamers within the first 5 months of 2020.
This shows the massive influx of aspiring content creators who want to get into livestreaming. And as with any booming industry that sees new talent incoming, there will be a rising need for enhancing the skill sets of said talent – aka a coaching industry.
Problem Statement
New livestreamers want to get into streaming to earn an income, build an audience, and be an active part of their community, but these newcomers lack the performing, technical, and marketing knowledge needed to stand out, build an audience, establish a network that best reap returns from advertising revenue and manage a sustainable business.
Solution
Our team sees an opportunity to coach aspiring streamers in the following key areas:
- Use of broadcasting hardware and software
- Digital marketing and branding
- Performing arts (e.g. vocal coaching, storytelling, etc)
- Community and audience management</li
- Sponsorship sales and management
Product
Our startup sees an opportunity to deliver our educational content through the following formats:
- Free videos, e-books, and blogs to cover general topics (as a loss leader)
- Pay-to-view courses on more in-depth topics
- Monthly subscriptions to view the entire online catalog

- One-on-one consulting with hired expert coaches from various content niches like gaming lifestyle, music, etc, paid by the hour
Expansion Across Asia
Asia is a key area of growth for livestreaming platforms, and so educational content from Tweach Academy teaching new livestreamers will be in demand in many Asian countries.
According to Twitch, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan are the Asian countries leading the growth due to high Internet speeds, a strong e-sports culture, and familiarity with livestreaming platforms. Other countries in Asia that Twitch expects to see continuous growth would be Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, and Malaysia. It is expected that other competing platforms like Facebook and YouTube will see similar growth in livestreaming from these countries.Sunita Kaur, senior vice president for Asia-Pacific at Twitch told CNBC that the total number of livestreamers in the Asia-Pacific region had doubled from June 2019 to June 2020. This growth has been driven by non-gaming livestreams and, in Southeast Asian countries, is particularly being driven by the rapid rise in e-sports.
