Why TSM South Korea?
What motivates you to join TSM?
What better way is there to gain better insight into the entrepreneurship idea generation, analytical processes and the day-to-day tasks than to experience it first hand? TSM surely would give me this opportunity without compromising the fun!
Why South Korea?
As a frequent k-drama viewer, I have always been interested in Korea's rich culture. This would be a great opportunity for me to explore.
Starting a business
What types of businesses interest you?
- Mobile applications
- Designing industry - Graphics, Crafts, Interior designing etc
- Merchandising/Deco industry
What plans do you have in starting a business?
I have always been intrigued by people who can single-handedly start a business based on their passions and interest. As I have a passion for designing, I hope that one day I would be able to start a company that allows me to utilise this ability.
Past Experiences
My 3 years in SMU gave me the opportunity to take on the position as a Sponsorship Director for my faculty's pageant event, GLOW, during my Year 1 summer break. I also took on the role as the Finance Director during my short stint to Vietnam for Overseas Community Service (OCSP) during the break after the first semester in Year 2. During the term, I was involved in creating designing posters and collaterals via Adobe illustrator and Photoshop as the member of my faculty's marketing subcommittee.
During the summer break of Year 2, I took up a 3 month internship at Dell Singapore. I was able to experience the day-to-day functions of a large organisation while working on design workflows as well as enhance the usability experience for the existing printer application.
What motivates you?
I believe that it is important to enjoy the process of the task you embark on and it will produce positive results. So, do more of what makes you happy!
