Concluding thoughts
- Methylosmolene increased from 2Q2015 (3.1 µg/l) to 3Q2016 (83.9 µg/l) at Kohsoom which is near the dump site. Hence, this hydrology data might be sufficiently conclusive to prove the ornithologists’ case of illegal toxic dumping at the site.
- Interestingly, there might be another dump site near Somchair as the Methylosmolene readings have increased to 130.5 µg/l in 1Q2016.
- Hydrology department did not conduct the data collection exercise in a routine manner. This can be observed with the lack of records for certain chemical measures for certain locations. In addition, there are certain gaps in records within the time period from 1998 to 2016.
