POTENTIAL RISKS

1 Client Management Risk Members in the steering committee has varying opinions and expectations. As a result, it is difficult to define a fixed scope for the project. This results in scope creep and making it difficult to define the functions required in the project. Medium High A Our group firstly identified the goal for the project. Subsequently, we have had multiple meetings (group and individual) to understand their individual expectations. We update our sponsor regularly and seek his advices. We have a final meeting to ensure that the project functions fits the need of the steering committee.
2 Project Management Risk House visit sessions is not fixed and the number of engagement may varies depending on the number of residents available. As such, this may affect the team's UAT (field trip) session. Medium High A Constantly in contact with client and get updates on dates of Housevisits so that the team can successfully UAT during the house visits
3 Project Management Risk Team unable to accurately gauge the required hours need for each of the task Medium Medium B Constantly review the schedule and the time required to complete each task/schedule. Conduct research for complex functions.
4 Resource Risk Unforeseeable problems with technology (laptop crashes). 2 of our computers have been used for more than 3 years and often breaks down. Low High B Our project manager enforce that the team will always store the updated files in the cloud. The loss of local drive will not have much effect on the team’s progress.
5 Client Management Risk Client is frequently overseas due to other commitments. This increases the intervals between our appointments, potentially leading to more problems with communication and misunderstandings. Medium Low C We communicate often through text messages to keep our sponsor up to date. We also plan ahead to ensure that we have frequent face to face meetings for our sponsor to provide us with feedback.
