Project Description
We are proposing a Point-Of-Sale (P-O-S) application, which is to be integrated with the cash register and receipt printer, for our client, Winkz Winkz.

P-O-S application has many features which includes retrieving the right price for a product even at times of promotion, to generate daily and monthly sales report, to effectively store the membership and inventory details, and to set different access privileges for different account. The application can also manage our client’s suppliers by allowing them to compare each supplier based on the quality of food supplied and their pricing. We have also incorporated a finance feature to help our client calculate their profit each month. This can ensure that our client know their financial status so that they could plan their spending more efficiently.

P-O-S application will also include many other business intelligence features for the application. For example, there will be analysis done on historical data to forecast the approximate number of customers for the day based on the weather, events held, or if it is a weekday. This would help our client to estimate how much food to prepare for the day so as not to increase the wastage.

Other than the P-O-S application that we are proposing, we will also set up a website to increase awareness for the shop. The website will allow the customers of our client to make prior reservation for their order and collect at the desired date and time, and to update themselves with the month’s promotions. The hosting fees will be covered by our client.
