Why Virtual TSM?
- What motivates you to join TSM?
I am motivated to join TSM as it is the global epicentre of technology innovation home to many tech giants, startups and venture capital firms. I believe that the opportunity for learning would be endless. By immersing myself in the heart of the industry, I will be able to gain firsthand insights into the diverse roles within the tech industry. I will also be able to witness the entrepreneurial spirit that Silicon Valley is known for. I believe that it will be able to inspire and motivate me in my academic pursuits and career goals. Additionally, I feel that this trip will bridge the gap between what I have learnt in the classroom and real-world application, especially in the context of business processes and startup ideation. With Silicon alley being synonymous with innovation, I can witness firsthand how business innovate and come up with their cutting-edge technological solutions. I believe I will be able to learn a lot from the people, as well as companies, there.
- Where would you like to visit?
Stanford University: I hope to explore their campus which has produced many tech innovators. Additionally, I hope to attend some tech-related events there.
Tech Company HQs such as Google, Netflix, Meta: I hope to visit their headquarters and hopefully, attend some their guided tours. I am interested in learning more about these companies’ cultures.
