I love traveling to different countries, meeting interesting people and of course hanging out with friends. The most enjoyable thing in life is to chill out with a group of good friends. I have been to Indonesia for OCSP last December and this December I am leading a new OCSP to Cambodia.
Why TSM South Korean?
It has been close to 3 years since I started my pursuit in entrepreneurship and I am always looking for opportunities in and outside of Singapore. I believe that the way to success is to chase after opportunities rather than waiting for it to come and one very important factor is “exposure”. This TSM will be a good exposure for me. On top of that, I am currently planning to declare ABT –Technopreneurship Track as my 2nd major and this module is in line with what I will be doing during my years in SMU.
I am really excited as this will be my first time going to South Korea! South Korea is definitely a place that I would like to explore at least once in my life. Therefore, I think that this is actually a perfect opportunity for me to fulfil one of my module as well as having the chance to explore other cultures.
Internship Opportunities
I am looking for all types of internship opportunities overseas. If I am given a choice, I would like to join a technological firm as it is relevant to what I am studying now so that I can maximize my contributions to the firm. A few firms that interest me would be SAMSUNG, COM2US, DAUM and KBS.
Starting a business
As long as it is a legal business, I am interested.
Currently, I am partnering with a friend to provide courses for the Community Clubs across Singapore and PA has just approved our application as a provider. Hopefully, this will serve as a source of funding for my future entrepreneurial plans.
Past Experience
3 years ago, I started an online modelling business. The concept is to bring together all the freelance models and merchants to this one-stop off the shelf advertising/marketing package. However, I have decided to close down this business after the first few deals because the talent pool for modelling is relatively small in Singapore and we could not meet the demands of the merchants.
Last year, when I entered SMU, I continued to source for entrepreneurship opportunities. I participated in the Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Competition. I attended a few talks organized by IIE and have tried to apply for grants for my business plan through IIE.
