About Us

GoBus provides an attractive and high-quality mean of long-distance travel by bus between major cities in Germany. Currently GoBus is not operating yet due to Personenbeförderungsgesetz (PBefG) which the public transport law in Germany, banning all the competition with the national railway system. This law will allegedly be lifted in 2013, after which GoBus will enter the market to provide better service quality at a cheaper price to German customers.

Business Model

  • Direct entry through cooperation: Currently GoBus is not having any own buses, so it decides to enter the market by cooperating with the large and medium bus operators in Germany. To work with GoBus, the partners will have to sign an exclusive contract with GoBus, meaning that they will not be able to sub-contract for any other bus companies. GoBus will be in charge of all network planning, marketing as well an innovative platform for online ticketing
  • Franchising: All the bus under management of partners of GoBus will operate under the brand "GOBUS". This will help achieve economies of scope for sale, marketing and technical division as well as infrastructure like depots and service areas.

Innovation

  • Bringing the on-journey service level of airplanes to long-distance bus travel
  • Incorporating all partners under a global name "GoBus" to raise brand awareness
