  • Students who are unable to make it on the travel dates are advised not to take this module.
  • Students will be asked to sign an indemnity form.
    • The cost of the trip is expected to be S$5500+ for double room excluding personal expenditure and some meals. Full payment is required in week 3.
    • Students must contribute to petty cash fund $500, included in the estimate.
    • No TA. We will not have a TA to reduce cost of the travel. Thus, students are expected to contribute to planning and organizing the trip.
  • Subsidy: NOTE you can only apply for one of the subsidy below (cannot double or co-claim)
    1. Enhanced iPrep handbook C Overseas Exposure Programmes (PENDING IMDA approval)
      • You must meet the following requirements: SIS students only, cumulative GPA of 3.20, Singapore citizen and not participated in previous iPREP program or did not apply for duding from other sources
      • You must apply for funding (https://smu.sg/iprep-overseasexposure) BEFORE embarking on the overseas exposure programmes.
      • Upon completion of the OEP, students can claim a prorated allowance of up to S$1,200 per month for the duration of the overseas programme (“Cost of Living Allowance”) and funding support towards the cost of economy-class return airfare (“Airfare Allowance). Total aggregate sum of the Cost of Living Allowance and Airfare Allowance shall not exceed S$2,000 for each student. (eg Based on 25 Apr-3 May, the max Cost of Living Allowance applicable is S$356.13 + airticket is S$1.8k = max $2,000)
      • You can only submit claim for ONE overseas exposure programme (excluding overseas internship) within the candidature period of your degree.
  • No subsidy: If you pay your own trip, you are not subject to the terms of the subsidy above. Indicate "No subsidy needed" in your particulars
  • If you do not already have a US visa to travel, please get a B1 visa, flight itinerary required. Singaporean may get authorisation for Visa Waiver Program {Electronic System for Travel Authorization | ESTA, flight itinerary not required}
