Why TSM South Korea?

  • Visiting South Korea before I enlisted for NS was the most memorable moments in my life. Me and my buddy was backpacking around South Korea and was amazed by the beautiful sights , food, and entertainment available in the country. The locals were friendly and helpful and I have been yearning to visit South Korea again. Apart from that, I feel that South Korea stands at the forefront of technology with new innovations coming from the tech giants such as Samsung rivalling the likes of Apple. I hope to keep abreast with the technologies and knowledge there especially those that pertain to mobile application development.

Internship Opportunities

Internship Opportunities

Being an avid gamer and my passion in mobile applications, I hope to have internships at mobile gaming companies such as Nexon/COm2Us/SpaceTime Games. I have always been amazed at Com2Us being able to squeeze in high quality games such as "Third Blade" which are on par with games on the PC into mobile phones, which pales in comparison in terms of the PC's processing power. It would be a great opportunity to pick their brains in terms of game development as well as resource optimization.

Starting a business

  • I would like to start a mobile application development company that emphasizes on providing mobile application solutions such as invoicing/employee scheduling applications to small businesses to aid them in their business processes on the go.

Past Experience

  • My interest in programming mobile applications started when I participated in a competition during my final year in Nanyang Polytechnic . The development was on the Symbian OS using the QT IDE using C++ and my team got 2nd prize in the competition. I felt that the Symbian was unstable and phones that support the OS normally had low processing capabilities. It was until I bought my first Samsung phone: S3 Galaxy , that I continued to pick up from where I left off after graduation. From then on, I started to try out programming on the Android platform and was amazed at how easy it was to create mobile applications using Java for Android as compared to the Symbian . Although the processing power of my S3 is nothing compared to recent phones nowadays, I felt that the brand produced phones that are reliable and flexible as compared to Apple.

Apart from that ,I did an internship at OneEmpower , a web solutions company. I customized websites for my clients such as Epicure using KonaKart.
