Why TSM Silicon Valley
What motivates you to join TSM?
Technology and it's ability to impact lives and disrupt incumbent businesses has always been an interesting subject for me. I believe being able to be on the ground, meeting and learning from some of the biggest tech firms in the world would really enrich my understanding of tech companies and their operations, especially as Singapore attempts to improve itself into a start nation. I would also like to experience the start up culture that SV is famously known for and find out what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur in future.
Why pick Silicon Valley?
As a mega cluster of tech companies, SV would be the definitely be best place to learn about technology and innovation. As an economics student, i would also personally want to go to SV to explore the follow questions:
1) Does Singapore have what it takes to be the Asian SV?
2) Do we have the right infrastructure and we attract the right talent?
3) Do we have the risk appetite/attitude for entrepreneurship?

Past Experience
Corporate Communications Director, Economics Faculty Freshmen Camp
- Contacted a wide range of companies (F&B, events, healthcare, clothing) and arranged more than 15 mutually beneficial sponsorship agreements that substantially contributed to the success of the camp.
- Covered 100% of all the food expenses incurred by more than 250 participants of the camp with F&B sponsorship.
Logistics Director, Project Cloud 9(OCSP)
- Led a team of 5 to procure construction equipment and material to build a fence in a kindergarten in Hue, Vietnam.
- Arranged the transportation of healthcare goods such first aid kits, tooth brushes and soap from Singapore to the beneficiaries in Hue Kindergarten.
