Why TSM South Korea?
South Korea has always fascinated me as a country that brought itself poverty and its devastated economy after the korean war in the 1950s. Today, it can be considered to be one of the economic powerhouses with huge conglomerates such as Samsung, Lg Electronics and Hyundai just to name a few. It was even more amazing how Korea managed to bring K Pop onto the global stage within a short span of about 10 years, raising the overall profile of its country. Today's South Korea, is a far cry from what it used to be. I believe Korea holds many opportunities for business especially where technology is concerned. Through this TSM, i hope to be able to pick up some skills and gain insights into their business culture.
Internship Opportunities
- What type of internship opportunities interest you?
Well, I would say that i believe that being able to secure an internship is already in itself a learning opportunity. However, if i must choose one, i would love to intern in Hyundai Korea since cars are one of my new found interests. Over the past decade, this company rose to the ranks toyota and nissan and today it is even establishing itself as a premium car maker at a fraction of what continental cars would cost. The most important i feel is to keep and open mind so that i can learn as much as possible!

Business has always been something i regard close to my heart since young. After much deliberation for the past 5 years, i finally decided to step out and in June, i set up "The Pique Lab Learning Centre" together with a 2 other partners. (https://www.thepiquelab.com) Since giving tuition to generate some extra income 5 years ago, education and teaching has evolved to become one of my passions. I am hoping that one day i will be able to harness technology and the internet to reach out to more students who are in need of my help.
What i learnt is that starting your own business is often harder than one think it is. Sacrifice, commitment and superb time management is part of the deal of running your own business.
Past Experiences
I have not attended any internships and i am hoping that TSM South Korea would give me the opportunity to my first internship!
