Why Virtual TSM?
- What motivates you to join TSM?
I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to participate in this program, as it offers the chance to expand my horizons both academically and culturally.
First and foremost, I am eager to leverage this program to gain valuable insights into various technologies and innovations, particularly their application in the dynamic tech landscape of Silicon Valley. Given my passion for technology and keen interest in startup ventures, I am keen to witness firsthand how technology is harnessed within the San Francisco startup ecosystem.
Furthermore, I am excited about the prospect of immersing myself in American startup culture, which I believe starkly differs from the entrepreneurial scene in Singapore. By directly engaging in this culture, I anticipate gaining profound insights and invaluable experiences. My aim is to become a more well-rounded individual and a globally conscious citizen by embracing diverse cultures, languages, and ways of thinking through this enriching study trip.
Lastly, I am confident not only in my capacity to gain from this experience but also to contribute significantly. My passion for travel aligns well with my strong organizational skills, making me a valuable asset to the planning team. Moreover, my interest lies in renowned companies such as Intel, HP, Oracle, Facebook, and Airbnb, all of which are familiar brands I'd love to explore to gain firsthand knowledge of their working culture. Additionally, my enthusiasm for photography could prove beneficial during the trip, capturing memorable moments and experiences.

Tech giants like Google, Apple and Tesla, I hope to visit their headquarters and find out more about their cultures.
Starting a business
- What types of business interest you?
I'm particularly drawn to businesses that exhibit a strong commitment to making a positive impact on society and the environment, especially when they harness the power of technology to drive meaningful change. I have a deep appreciation for companies that embrace innovation and are unafraid to pioneer new solutions. My focus lies on businesses that prioritize people, addressing their needs while also enriching their lives with novel experiences and solutions. Some notable examples of such businesses include Lush and Uniqlo, which all blend innovation with a customer-centric approach to create value.
- What plans do you have in starting a business?
My aspirations lean toward launching a business in the healthcare or sustainability sector, with a particular emphasis on serving individuals rather than large corporations. My intent in pursuing a program like TSM is to immerse myself in new experiences and gain invaluable insights, thus fostering a holistic skillset. This, in turn, will equip me with the knowledge and expertise needed to embark on my entrepreneurial journey and make a meaningful impact on society at the individual level. paraphrase this and make it better
