Why Virtual TSM?
- What motivates you to join TSM?
My first internship experience at tech startup, where I served as a management trainee, was nothing short of transformative. It was during this immersive experience that I witnessed firsthand the incredible dynamism and potential of the entrepreneurial world. The fast-paced environment, the innovative solutions being developed, and the collaborative spirit of the team resonated deeply with me. Being able to join TSM would represent a pivotal step in my quest for knowledge and growth. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to learn from individuals with diverse entrepreneurial perspectives, immerse myself in the vibrant cultures of various startup companies and continue my exhilarating journey into the ever-evolving world of technology and entrepreneurship! Most importantly, I look forward to building enduring connections with fellow SMU students who share my passion!
- Where would you like to visit?
- I would like to visit the headquarters of Tech Giants such as Google, Facebook and Amazon to gain more insights on their innovative practices and learn more about their different cultures. Guided tours, tech exhibitions and even networking events would be a bonus!
- I would also love to visit the various prestigious universities like Stanford and Berkeley which will give me the opportunity to immerse myself in their diverse educational cultures while (hopefully) allowing me to connect with aspiring entrepreneurs
Starting a business
- What types of business interest you?
I have a keen interest in mainly the fintech industry which leverages cutting-edge technology to revolutionise the way financial services are delivered and consumed. Some interests of mine include blockchain technology which enhances security and transparency in transactions, and AI-driven algorithms that provide personalised financial advice.
- What plans do you have in starting a business?
Though I currently do not have any concrete plan of starting a business, however I have a vision of establishing a financial technology business that is driven by a sense of social responsibility and a commitment to making a positive impact on underserved communities, with the goal of creating innovative fintech solutions that address the unique financial challenges faced by the less fortunate, empowering individuals who have been traditionally excluded from the formal financial system.
