Why Virtual TSM?

  • What motivates you to join TSM?

I heard so much about TSM some of my seniors and they had SO MUCH FUN! This module allowed them to create their own itinerary and visit the companies they were passionate about. I believe that TSM provides a unique opportunity for students to learn directly from successful entrepreneurs in the technology industry, gaining insights on how they navigated challenges and achieved success. While these insights can be found in books, hearing them in person from accomplished individuals will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on us.

Another aspect that interests me is the exposure to cutting-edge technologies and trends that this trip offers, along with immersing myself in Japanese culture. It's a great opportunity to stay updated with the latest advancements in the tech industry and experience firsthand the innovative culture of Japan.

  • Where would you like to visit?

Tokyo: Odaiba, Tokyo Startup Gateway Ghibli, Yamaha, Calbee, Tokyo Disneyland, Rakuten

Starting a business

  • What types of business interest you?

As a dog lover, I am incredibly passionate about pet tech startups, and Tokyo has some exciting ones that focus on developing innovative products and services for pet owners. These startups often create wearable devices to track pets' health and well-being, as well as online platforms that connect pet owners with various pet services. I am intrigued to learn more about their strategies, business models, and how they integrate themselves into the everyday lives of pet owners in Tokyo. It would be fascinating to see how they navigate such a niche industry and establish a foothold in the market.

In addition to pet tech startups, Tokyo also has a thriving fintech scene that is leveraging technology in areas such as robo-advisors and digital payment solutions. Exploring the financial industry from a different perspective could provide me with valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities that startups in this sector face. Tokyo's position as a global financial hub presents unique opportunities to learn from fintech startups that are at the forefront of innovation in the financial services sector.

Overall, I am excited to explore the world of pet tech startups and fintech startups in Tokyo, gain insights into their strategies and business models, and learn from their experiences in navigating the startup landscape in these industries. It would be a valuable learning experience to understand how these startups are integrating cutting-edge technologies into their businesses and making a meaningful impact on the pet industry and financial services sector in Tokyo and beyond.

  • What plans do you have in starting a business?

I do not have a full concrete plan as of now but I would like to open up a dog cafe in the future! hehe!
