Why Virtual TSM?
- What motivates you to join TSM?
I’m interested to find out more about startups, the culture and mindset within, that the founders and employees have. This would allow me to understand how startups incorporate their ideas into business product and finally, having a use case and delivering it to the customers. Additionally, I want to gain more knowledge about the industry in an Asian context, which will give me inspiration and motivation to enter startup industry.
- Where would you like to visit?
Tokyo: Softbank, Sony, Mitsubishi, Sega, Google campus
Other parts of Japan: Nintendo, Uniqlo, Daikin
Starting a business
- What types of business interest you?
One of my current interests in the technology field is in the AI sector, especially with the big progress on large language model and the huge impact that it has made. I’m also interested in other areas of AI, such as the computer vision and explainable AI aspects where AI is used to help industries reduce labour and quicken lengthy processes. Additionally, I’m also interested to see how businesses can incorporate AI into the cyber-physical world, for example robotics. As Japan is one of the countries that is known for it’s robotics, it would be interesting to understand how they intend to incorporate robotics with their business process.
- What plans do you have in starting a business?
Currently, I do plan on working for others in my early career to gain knowledge. If I am given the opportunity to start a new business, I hope that I will be able to make a difference to the industry through my products and serving their needs.
