Why Virtual TSM?

  • What motivates you to join TSM?

I want to learn more about start ups, their practices and mindsets, as well as get a deeper understanding of analytics and AI and its applications. Japan is a country I enjoy visiting and I want to also explore this side of Japan. I am excited to see how Japan has grown, especially with the AI Japan strategy and experience their vibrant start up culture and technology firsthand.

  • Where would you like to visit?

Tokyo: Food streets, Winter Ice skating rink (Tokyo Midtown), Hitachi
Okayama: Kibiji Bike Trail, Hiruzen Bear Valley, Okonomiyaki shops

Starting a business

  • What types of business interest you?

I admire businesses that are able to have a positive impact on society and the environment, especially while also leveraging on technology. As someone who enjoys exploring and gaining new experiences, I appreciate companies that are willing to take the risk and create something new. I am interested in businesses that places people first and are able to cater to people's needs, while at the same time providing people with new experiences and solutions. Such businesses I am interested in include: Eco-companion, Zozo, Uniqlo, etc

  • What plans do you have in starting a business?

Currently, I am still exploring different industries and gaining experience that would help me to start a business. Having started my own Instagram-based jewelry store for a brief period of time, I found it to be a fun and rewarding experience and it has definitely further interested me to pursue entrepreneurship again in the future. I want to learn from working in other companies, may it be a large firm or another start up, and hopefully use those insights and knowledge to create something of my own. Additionally, I believe that travel can be a powerful tool for creating positive social and environmental impact, and I would love to explore ways I can leverage technology to make sustainable tourism more accessible and appealing to a wider audience.
