Why Virtual TSM?

  • What motivates you to join TSM?

The quote from myself is "enjoying all the challenges in our lives as it could make ourselves become better". More about my personality, I am the one who would like to take the challenges because I did enjoy the sense of achievement.

I have always aspired to explore different innovative ideas to fulfill my entrepreneurial dreams. I believe it is not only to help me to be financial freedom and also to allow me to create more social value as it could help our society to adapt to some social issues. I always believe that we have contributed back to our society as we have already benefited from it. I have attended many community services from my secondary school until now.

I was given the opportunity to be part of SMU’s Global Innovation Immersion (GII) Programme. I was interning at a blockchain startup company in China, I asked the founder to have a coffee chat with me to allow me to understand more about the motivation for doing the startup and the future vision of the blockchain industry. I did learn a lot of knowledge of entrepreneurship and blockchain. I have also sought the opportunity to talk to startup entrepreneurs locally to explore more about doing business.

I can still remember the last event I attended was organized by SMC (Singapore Mentorship Committee). I have talked to different mentors (who are already done well in their career or their own business), I did remember one of my mentors in this event, and his name is Fabian kept encouraging me to do the things that I believe in (creating my own startup) and find a good partner to work on.

Hence, visiting Silicon Valley in TSM is a great opportunity for me to interact with those startup companies in the USA to understand their stories and understand the motivation of people from different backgrounds to have their own startups. It is also a possibility to meet some like-minded friends there, and explore innovative and valuable startup ideas.

  • Where would you like to visit?

Silicon Valley: Google, Meta, Netflix
Silicon Valley (blockchain company): Balance, Instalocate, Wyre

Starting a business

  • What types of business interest you?

All the tech businesses interest me, but I am keener on the blockchain and the web 3.0 industry. As one trend we can see there are more and more people are focusing on their personal values and also on who holds their data (worry about their data being missed). I feel that Web 3.0 could be a good solution to this problem and also the blockchain industry can bring us as invidious in a more personalized way. They could also allow more people to present different ideas to promote the collision and exchange of different cultures. Of course, I totally believe their markets will have greater potential value in the next few years.

  • What plans do you have in starting a business?

I am planning to have a startup in the web 3.0 industry. As I always believe that technological innovation will create different opportunities for our society, and also, there are many venture capitalists that also believe that new technology could bring the dream of equal rights and opportunity. It is also my dream and vision for the future world. Now, I'm interning and working in different industries to learn more about technology implemented in the different industries and also seek new innovative ways of using web 3.0 to create more social values in our society. I am also looking for partners with the same dream and vision as me, so we can have a startup together and motivate each other in the long journey of implementing our dream.
