Why Virtual TSM??
What motivates you to join TSM?
I want to join TSM as it is able to give me an outlook on how start-ups around the world operate and survive in the highly competitive market. That is in contrast to large organizations, which have large failure buffers. Start-ups, on the other hand, do not have that luxury, and they must innovate in order to stay afloat. Moreover, TSM is a good out-of-classroom opportunity for us to apply what we learnt in school to the actual working world. By embarking on TSM, I will be able to see for myself how the technology and entrepreneurship knowledge we learn in school work together in real life. Also, to learn from the entrepreneurs who have been through the whole process when building up their businesses. Therefore, I believe that it will be a valuable experience and lots of learning points for me to gain through the people that we will meet, as well as the peers who embark on this journey since we have the same interests when going onboard this journey.
Where would you like to visit?
DeepBrain AI: Really interested in knowing how AI has evolved and incorporated into different industries which include media, education, retail, healthcare and finance.
Dot Inc.: To know more about how innovation and technology connect to deliver a barrier-free world technology to help the beneficial community. Also, to know what are the obstacle faced and they overcome them.
Google for Startups Campus: To explore and see how to google support the start-up with their network, resources and programmes. Moreover, google company are always a place that I wish to visit.
Seoul National University: To experience and learn about what universities life are like. Also, collaborate and visit their Seoul National University Campus Town Project Center to know more about the programmes and resources they provide for entrepreneurship.
Starting a business?
What types of businesses interest you?
Businesses that interest me are food (e.g. café/desserts), e-commerce and socio-tech.
What plans do you have in starting a business?
It has always been a discussion with my friends to open a café with technology where people can gather and mingle. On the other hand, a cosy spot for an individual to rest and relax, study or do their work without being disturbed. Having integration with technology makes the process seamless and a selling point for the business. However, this idea will need more in-depth planning and research in order to be accomplished.
