Why TSM?
- What motivates you to join TSM?
I want to join TSM as I want to know how businesses work especially Tech companies or how technologies are being used to operate or improve businesses process. Being able to join TSM would allow me to be able to have first-hand interaction with those organizations that the program will visit or virtually. Beside that, it will also allow me to have knowledge in entrepreneurship which I have no knowledge in that area. I have understood that having knowledge in entrepreneurship would be very valuable and are interested in learning what is entrepreneurship.
- Where do you NOT want to travel for TSM?
I do not have any preference of where I do not want to travel. Especially with the currently situation of COVID-19, having a chance to travel overseas is a luxury. Even though, there might not be a chance to travel due to the increasing cases. It would still be a good chance for me to broaden my view towards the world with virtual session.
Starting a business
- What types of business interest you?
I interested in businesses that deals with technology to improve the efficiency of the business process. Being an IT student, I want to know how technology is being used in real world. How It is be in cooperated in business process. If I really need to choose one business type, to be honest I preferred ecommerce related organizations.
- What plan do you have in starting a business?
Currently, I do not have any plan of starting a business as I do not have any related knowledge in that area. However, it does not mean that I would not start a business in the future. Having to learn the knowledge of entrepreneurship would be very useful if I want to start a business in the future. Beside that, having ideas is just not enough without any entrepreneurship knowledge.
Past Experiences (optional)
- I do not have any real experience of starting a business. However, during secondary school, I have joined a co-curriculum activity that allow us to operate a drink stall in school. We had learned the basic skills of what is needed to operate a drink stall. From there, we need to manage by ordering and buying of the stocks that is needed to make the drink, make the drinks and doing cashiering.
What keeps you ticking?
- As a student studying IT, I was always wonder how a tech companies work or how technology is being used in business. This will be a very good chance for me to learn entrepreneurship knowledge while having the chance to listen and learn from organizations.
