Why Travel Bubble TSM?
- What motivates you to join TSM?
I believe that this TSM will provide a great opportunity for me to learn about other foreign cultures and how businesses outside of Singapore have effectively utilized innovative technologies to solve problems and improve the lives of their people. Also, through my past internship experience with Smart Nation and Digital Government Office, I had the privilege to interact with foreign head of states (for technology) to better understand their country's digital transformation plans where part of it entails plans on how they intend to support start-ups businesses in the field of technology. These value adding conversations along with my strong interest for understanding and starting a business, further fueled my desire to learn more about the start-up environment where I have limited experience in. As such, I am confident that the TSM provides the ideal learning platform for me to gain the relevant experience and knowledge on what it takes build a successful business, understand the limitations and ways to solve it and to allow me to gain insightful perspectives.

Starting a business
- What types of business interest you?
Businesses that makes use technology to benefit people and to draw meaningful insights to improve efficiency. Personally, I am inspired by startups within the healthcare industry that have innovatively attempted to make healthcare more accessible to the masses, yet maintaining patient's privacy, through the use of technology which I feel it is very noble of them. Some examples of such healthcare businesses in Singapore are Doctor Anywhere and Ease Healthcare.
- What plan do you have in starting a business?
In the future, I plan to set up either a fintech company or a F&B business that utilizes tech to grow my business and to understand my customers.
Past Experiences (optional)
I did an internship with Smart Nation and Digital Government under their Strategy and Master planning department which focuses on initiatives and policies to further develop Singapore as a smart nation. Another past internship I did was with DB Schenker under their technology and innovation department. I am currently doing a cybersecurity internship with UBS bank.
Additionally, I was previously a trainee pilot with Singapore Youth Flying Club!
