Why TSM?
- What motivates you to join TSM?
In the digital era today, technopreneurship is highly recognised due to the limitless opportunities it provide. As such, the relevance and importance of the concept has led to the motivation to pursue it on a higher level. Also, I believe half of our necessary knowledge comes from classroom learning and the other comes from real-life interaction and experience. Working on IDP and SKOR project have sparked my interest in developing innovative solutions to mitigate unresolved yet pressing problems. Due to this curiosity and desire, I would love to discover more on how technology is incorporated into business models to create a breakthrough and better facilitate business operations. I believe TSM will open doors to such valuable possibilities and at the same time, broadening my intellectual horizon.
My dad has been the root of my drive to become an entrepreneur. His drive has became my inspiration and opened my eyes to the world of entrepreneurs. To become a well-equipped entrepreneur, there are a lot to learn and to me, TSM can mark the beginning of the journey to becoming one. I believe TSM offers the chance to explore innovation concepts from a different perspective. It excites me to know that the knowledge and experience that I will gain from TSM will potentially allow me to better assist my dad with his business, or even empower myself with the knowledge to start my own business. All in all, I believe TSM will definitely be the value-adding factor to my academic life in SMU, with the great memories forged together with the rest of the students enrolled.
- Where do you NOT want to travel for TSM?
I am open to any countries!
Starting a business
- What types of business interest you?
I enjoy solving current challenges and being innovative. Appreciating how business and combined impacts of it are able to provide a force for better uplift, I am motivated to enhance the lives of people, bringing new capabilities they never had before. Edtech's progressive transformation and success stories have sparked my interest as I hope to enhance students' learning experience, especially in the given pandemic situation. Similar to the objectives of SKOR project ideas which aim to enhance class participation experience, I hope to provide an effective way to create that positive difference in the world we live in today.
- What plan do you have in starting a business?
- Idea #1: AI and image recognition for the visually impaired. Technology gives the power for an organisation and individual to spread their wings but many still struggle to find the balance in adopting technological advancements in daily life: Thus, I hope to reach out to these demographics through technology innovations.
- Idea #2: Speech-text recognition to enhance classroom learning experience.

Personal growth and development. I believe this provides me with the motivation to become a better version of my current self. I believe personal development plays a vital part of success and it is an ongoing process of discovering my full potential.'Curiosity propels growth' and keeping that in mind, I enjoy that learning adds a sense of excitement. I am excited about the learning opportunities that lie ahead and I cherish this phase in life of massive intellectual and personal growth. Knowing that I will be witnessing the tiny bit of growth as time passes, keep me ticking.
