Why Virtual TSM?

  • What motivates you to join TSM?

I am always fond of Technopreneurship since polytechnic days. I was involved in the Technopreneurship program during my final year project and was given the freedom to conduct researches, crafting bold ideas, and attend conferences such as TechInAsia, to meet potential investors and like-minded people. I witnessed my own major personal growth through this program. I took the initiative to self-learn new programming languages, joined events to learn what’s happening around, and brushed up my communication skills. It was thrilling and accomplishing. Through TSM, I hope to continue pushing myself further to reach my fullest potential as well as to meet more like-minded people to share our experiences and influence one another.

  • Where would you like to visit virtually?

Starting a business

  • What types of business interest you?

- To use technology to address problems faced by people that can conveniently be solved
- Education, as this industry is constantly growing, people are keener in upgrading their skills and develop competencies
- Non-profit organization

  • What plan do you have in starting a business?

I always wished to reach out to the children of less developed countries and give them access to education through sponsored tablets; could be from companies’ CSR initiatives. The lessons and exercises can be accessed offline. I believe education is one of the most important ways to help them out of poverty. Some ways to monetize the business, we can work with big companies such as Coca-Cola and show their advertisements on the tablet. This helps to promote their brand awareness to people of less developed countries, especially when they are harder to reach out to. In a long run, this would actually benefit the companies as they have created brand awareness and these children would grow up patronizing the brand, etc. I envision myself in earning and helping people as I broaden my perspective of business environments abroad through TSM and understand how to expand into these areas.
