Why Virtual TSM?
- What motivates you to join TSM?
I have strong interest in Technopreneurship (Entrepreneurship). I wanna learn the common pitfalls of tech startups so I would not repeat the same mistake. And the best way is to join and learn from TSM and Prof. Benjamin as he is the best person to teach me this subject in SIS.
- Where would you like to visit virtually?
I wanna visit Silicon Valley as it is still one of the best place for tech startups. Many top tech startups in the world are from there!
Starting a business
- What types of business interest you? Technology based that will change the way we do things. For example, an application that would allow us to socialize more with our loved ones. I wanna to create the next Facebook xD
- What plan do you have in starting a business? (list existing business)
1. Attended SMU IIE Product Management Programme (Have completed the programme in summer 2019)
2. Shortlisted for TSM and learn from Prof. Benjamin and TSM (In progress)
3. Bootstrapping my own business first while I am still in SMU
4. Depending on cash flow/No. of paying users, get funding from a Venture Capital Firm I have some connection with (if possible) or get funding from Angel Investors??

JUN 2020 – AUG 2020
SUMMER INTERN AT MERCHANT AND PAYMENT OPERATIONS TEAM, GRAB
- Created a Python Script to automate Grab’s invoice reminder to Merchants.
- Utilizing MySQL, Tableau, Zendesk Analytics, Salesforce, and Phoenix to keep track of daily operations, customer experience and performance.
- Worked with various stakeholders to get cross-functional project aligned to improve internal operational processes as well as merchant experience.

TRAINING PROGRAM, GOOGLE CLOUD STUDENT SPRINT PROGRAM
The Google Cloud Student Sprint Program is a specialized Student Sprint Program, that immerses about 100 university students into a 10-week Google Cloud experience. The program challenges students and prepares them to be industry-ready and to take the Associate Cloud Engineer Certification exam.

APPRENTICESHIP, BIG STARTUP SCHOOL
Been accepted into Batch 1 of The BIG Startup School. The batch was more than 5 times oversubscribed and immersed 30 candidates into a 12-week product management training that taught product management and entrepreneurship. The program invited guest of speakers from tech companies and successful entrepreneurs.
APR 2019 – AUG 2019
INTERN, GOVTECH SINGAPORE, MINISTRY OF MANPOWER
- Did Proof of concept for new technologies by developing a new website using Appian SAIL Technology, and a chatbot using Dialogflow NodeJS. Presented the newly developed systems to various stakeholders including Deputy Director, business analysts, IT consultant, developers, product managers, project managers and business users.
- Gathered business requirements from business users and came out with a prototype for a new website and chatbot.
MAY 2017 – MAY 2018
DEVELOPMENT TECHNOLOGIST, NANYANG POLYTECHNIC
- Developed the Windows 10 platform for Smart Assistive System to Promote Music Therapy for Elderly using C# and Unity3D Game Engine.
- Fixed bugs, refactored code, and improved app performance by 5 to 7 percent.
- Worked in a team of 4 members along with multiple teams of Final Year Project students to develop and deploy a healthcare management programme mobile application, allowing doctors to keep track of their patients’ health status 24/7, using Ionic 2/3 Framework with Angular 2 and TypeScript, MongoDB, Parse Server, and deployed to Amazon Web Services Cloud.
- Fixed major bugs such as ‘Push Notification’ and various plugin issues in Ionic Framework IOS platform.
- Planned and developed the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) Membership and Event Management website using C# and Asp.Net Framework.

APPLICATION DEVELOPER INTERN, SHAW ORGANISATION GROUP OF COMPANIES PTE LTD
- Planned, designed, and developed a website using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL and Asp.Net Framework with C# in interaction and processing payments with contactless readers.
- Successfully created Unit Test Cases and Integration Test Cases for the new systems.
- Conducted User Acceptance Testing and received users’ feedback.
- Planned, designed, and developed the new system to provide a better customer experience.
What keeps you ticking?
Life is short. I don't want to waste my time! And to spend my time wisely, I must join TSM and learn from Prof. Benjamin before I expire from SMU!
