Why Virtual TSM?
- What motivates you to join TSM?
Technology has been my interest since Junior College and I think it will be interesting to learn about new innovations from other epicentres of technology. Additionally, coming from a family of entrepreneurs, I've always been inspired to kickstart my own brand someday. As such, I feel that the blend of entrepreneurship and technology on this TSM will be a great learning opportunity to gain a better understanding of the tech space and develop a more nuanced understanding of the institutional dynamics that startups are faced with, outside of Singapore. Additionally, I believe this TSM is an optimal platform to learn and interact with like-minded individuals and develop my interest in Technology and Entrepreneurship, especially since my International Student Exchange Programme to Switzerland was cancelled.
- Where would you like to visit virtually?
Preferably Asia but all else works!
China - 1. Beijing/Shanghai - Development of software and platform business, 2. Hangzhou - Alibaba's HQ
Hong Kong - Digital banking scene
Tokyo, Japan - IoT connectivity, Robotics Technology and AI
Seoul, S. Korea - State-of-the-art consumer electronics and Futuristic ICT
Starting a business
- What types of business interest you?
I believe businesses that are able to leverage data and technology responsibly to drive efficiency and power business models are/will be most successful. I am currently most interested in technologies that will disrupt the Financial Services Space: Blockchain and API Platform.
I am also keen to learn about how E-commerce, FMCG and Healthcare companies utilises technology, and how they adapted in the current COVID-19 pandemic.
- What plan do you have in starting a business? (list existing business)
None as of now as I would like to start my own brand after some years of working experience. However, I am constantly on the hunt for new innovative ideas and I hope that these sharing sessions will inspire me to come up with my own idea.

What keeps you ticking?
In my free time, I do enjoy spending time with family and friends. Spin and yoga classes are also perfect ways to keep me out of the library! :-)
