This course has allowed me to know more about the various tech startups in NYC, such as Revolut, Remesh.AI and Stack Overflow.
After doing the project, I have a deeper understanding on the services that Revolut offer and their growth strategy in Singapore.

Through TSM, I was able to investigate tech startups in general and had the opportunity to speak with some NYC employees to trade culture and experiences.

Prior to this course, I had no clue about the tech industry and startup scene in NYC. Throughout the semester, I gained new insights about new companies and startups culture in the Big Apple, as well as the opportunity to be part of a overseas study mission.
It was interesting and insightful to work with Remesh.AI on their international expansion plan. Learnt many new things on what are the factors to consider during our research in various geographic regions and markets for them.

If it wasn't for this course, I wouldn't have known about the startups and companies that I've learn from the presentations in Week 11. It was interesting to see the difference between these companies.

The Revolut project was a breath of fresh air compared to other projects I have previously done. Trying to uncover underlying patterns and trends from real world data was frustrating, yet endlessly intriguing.

Even though the New York trip was cancelled, the journey of connecting with clients from NYC has opened a new view of start-ups in New York and their culture of entrepreneurship.
Our project with Revolut allowed me to experiment and learn new data analystics methods in text and news. The project also opened me to how brand management is an importance to start-ups

Although the New York trip has been sadly cancelled due to the Covid-19 situation, the journey through the module helped me grow my perspective and diversified the definition of entrepreneurship itself and to me, is a sufficient learning outcome.
This project allowed us to understand even start ups are not to be spared from negative news. Bigger considerations such as brand management need to be handled appropriately.

I honestly thought that Madison Square Garden was just any other famous arena situated New York City. However, upon in-dept analysis, I found out that madison square garden is actually rich in history of New York City.
