Why TSM New York City?

  • New York City has an unexplainable vibe that reminds you that you are a small fish in the ocean.
  • The bustling city life is full of opportunities; both in terms of budding technopreneurs but also visionary talents.
  • Understand how the start up culture functions differently between New York and Singapore
  • Get inspired to delve into the entrepreneurial vision.

Starting a business

Essentially, the heart of all these companies is a strong ENABLER. They have identified gaps in the global market and brought in great solutions. Scalability is primary. Profits is secondary. Much like how entrepreneurs should approach any problems in life.

  • Co-Sharing platforms. Uber, Grab, AirBnB.

These companies give new meanings to under-utilised assets to profit generating assets.

  • Social Enablers. Tinder, LinkedIN, Facebook.

These companies unlocks new channels for targetted audiences. The more granular an audience segmentation, the cleaner the targeted marketing could be.

  • Commerce Disruptors. Amazon, Ebay.

These companies create chaos in the conventional way of doing commerce. They have unlocked global exposure with a matter of clicks.

What keeps you ticking?

  • “Today is the oldest you've ever been, and the youngest you'll ever be again.” - Eleanor Roosevelt.

The core of my philosophy in life is to live life to the fullest. Encourage spontaneity and embrace adventures as these experiences are hard to relive. As I move into adulthood and priorities change, its always important to reflect if this was the best life I could live.

  • "-- well, sometimes it's when things don't go according to plan that life gets interesting." -- A Field Guide To Happiness, Linda Lee.

This was the book that inspired me to have this philosophy in life. As the author took a leap of faith and move to Bhutan, a directional change in her life, she began to unlock a new perspective in how to live life.
