Why TSM Hong Kong?

• What motivates you to join TSM?

I love technology and how it can applied in various innovative ways to solve specific problems. Through this TSM, I hope to experience how firms in Hong Kong demonstrate how they use technology to achieve their business goal, broaden my horizons by stepping out of my comfort zone and hopefully, gain inspirations for an idea of my own.

• Why pick Hong Kong?

Other than my love for Cantonese cuisine, I believe that a faced faced economy such as Hong Kong is placed in a unique global position of having to handle touchy political landscape involving Beijing, China. As such, I hope to be able to witness first-hand how professionals in the tech industry ensure smooth deployment and use of their applications in such a tricky environment.

• What plan do you have in starting a business?

While I am usually brainstorming on how the use of technology can automate/refresh mundane processes, I am having trouble transforming these ideas into reality. For this transformation to happen, I will first have to do more research on the related topics and check if it is actually feasible in the intended user environment. Through this TSM, I hope to gather insights on how firms are able to overcome this problem and give shape to their innovative ideas.
