Why TSM Hong Kong?

  • What motivates you to join TSM?

To find out more about how the industry works because what we learn in school will be inherently different from what the industry. It will also be very interesting to learn from the industry experts which can provide me interesting insights.

  • Why pick Hong Kong? ???

Hong Kong is a bustling tech and financial hub just like Singapore. It is very well-developed in terms of their progress in the globalized context which means that there will be many companies that are well-established in the technological industry. Due to their proximity to China and other parts of the world, it would have a slightly different climate than that of Singapore's. The challenges faced by Hong Kong is also very different compared to the issues we have here and I would expect to see a difference in terms of the overall goal of the tech setting e.g. Land scarcity is a worser issue than in Singapore so the companies there might be more inclined to solve such issues.
