Why TSM South Korea?
From the very beginning, I was interested in Korean culture. Korean history and culture is quite distinct yet similar in some aspects to Japanese and Chinese culture. Knowledge of its history and culture is also made known through Korean drama serials such as Da Chang Jin, which is my family's favourite show.
When I grew up, I realised Korea was not only famous for Korean pop culture but also a country that concerned about environment, sustainable development. I really appreciate the efforts this country put on green technology and I want to learn more about their way of business and immerse myself in the culture of technopreneurship given its leading position in IT industry.
This is my first time applying for South Korea TSM but not the first time visiting Korea. As a tourist, I did not have a chance to take a closer look at how the Korean company actually works. TSM encourages students like me to think more and get valuable exposure to the startups vibe in Korea.
Internship Opportunities
I am more inclined to intern in technology companies because I am majored in Information Systems with personal interests in IT consultancy, Game Development. As a pet owner, I noticed a company called SinglePet months before and planned to purchase its product for my dog. It combines a robotic pet care solution with a mobile application, which enables pet owners to take care of their animals at home regardless of how busy their work/social lives are. SinglePet does not provide pets food only, but also provide concerns, and innovation. It is the ideal company I want to join.
Starting a business

What plan do you have in starting a business?
- Launch my first restaurant before Jan 12, 2023 (in season vegetables only).
Experiences
This summer I was interning at a company naming TradeAsia and my job responsibility was to redesign and develop their website. I feel very proud of my work to be recognised and being used by the company.
This semester I am doing Final Year Project with awesome team members. Our sponsor company Rentafi is a startup company that provides the rental of portable Wi-fi devices with high speed 4G connection at an affordable rate, allowing tourists to stay connected on the go. We aim to streamline the 4G WIFI device rental process for our client and users and the system has already been deployed here. :)
