WHY TSM Korea

Motivation for TSM: Lessons learnt in school during lectures and classes are enriching. They equipped me with the technical knowledge that I need to go for work. However, these knowledge are normally "textbook" kind of information. I heard of various stories of how a company start up and/or deal with challenges, but it's always better to hear it from the founder himself rather than from someone else. I believe TSM will help me learn beyond the school curriculum, providing me with more insights on starting and maintaining a business. Furthermore, TSM is not something that will always be offered to me. After university graduation, there will be no such thing as "TSM". I had never went on a study trip before. Hence, I will like to take this last opportunity and go for a study trip before I graduate and step into the working industry. Why Korea: Korea is known for their technology advancement. Their products are also very innovative and eyes-catching. I believe to capture consumers' attention, the service/product must be creative and have some sort of "X factor". Products from Korea, such as Samsung phones and KakaoTalk are able to capture our attention through their creative technology and features. Thus if I get to go for TSM Korea, I believe I will be able to learn a lot from them such as innovative technology.

INTERNSHIP Opportunities

Type of internship I'm interested in: With a degree in Information Systems Management and a 2nd major in Operational Analytics, I am more interested in being a: Business Analyst IT Consultant IT Project Manager Software Developer However, even said so, I'm open to all types of internship. That is because I believe I am able to learn stuff that I do not know of. If I keep joining the same industry, I will always be learning the same thing. On other other, if I join other industry, I will be able to learn new stuff. In a different industry, it will be a total new kind of experience. Starting a BUSINESS

Type of business I'm interested in: IT Solutions IT Security Online Shopping Social Media Plans in Starting a Business: One possible direction that I'm heading towards will be to give IT solutions that can help business and/or the public. However, I feel that I will need a lot of experience before starting a business like this. I must be knowledgeable before giving advices to others. Thus, my aim is to gain a few years of experience before starting the company. To start off, I will need both technical and business management experience. With those experience, I will then be able to increase the success rate of my company.

PAST Experiences

When young, my friend and I co-operate a small scale business selling handmade items. We will gather feedbacks from our friends and also research on the cheapest place to buy the materials. Based on the feedbacks and material cost, we will then decide on a suitable pricing that will enable us to earn some pocket money but yet still having a lot of customers. In addition, before accepting a deal, we will discuss among ourselves to make sure that we are able to produce the goods before the deadline that the customer wanted. This is very important in a business because if you are unable to provide something on time, it will bring a bad reputation to your company.
