Why TSM?

I have always been passionate about gaining global exposure and travelling overseas. I obtain great joy in knowing new cultures and experiencing new sights and sounds abroad. Furthermore, I have never been very much in touch with Information Systems before, and would like to venture into it. I have had ideas of starting up business in future, and I feel that this opportunity will allow me to have a taste of what it is about. Given that, it will pose as a challenge for me because after all, I have never thought myself as someone inclined with IT, but I am very willing to give it my best and ultimately find joy in it. I am very receptive to new things, and in fact enjoy picking up new skills very much.

Why South Korea?

As much as people having their wanderlust ideals nowadays, I myself have had great dreams of exploring many of the Asian countries (eg. S.Korea, Japan, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam) by the end of my 20s. South Korea has proven itself to achieve such immense growth in the recent years, and for that, I would love to have the chance to interact with its people, have the first-hand experience of its food, scenery, rich history and landscapes for the first time. Also, the K-wave has garnered so much global attention and just like any other person, I would like to see if it is truly as glitzy as it being portrayed in its dramas, concerts and performances. Furthermore, Korean technology has also been receiving much hype and popularity in recent years, and it would be wonderful if I could have a greater insight into some of the working cultures of the major Korean companies.

Internship Opportunites

As I am still figuring out my major(s) as well as the prospective career paths that I am going to take in future, I have not have concrete plans as to where I am headed at, or what type of job scopes I am exactly looking for. Besides entrepreneurship as mentioned earlier, I do have strong interests in corporate communications and strategic management, as I am interested in fields like consultancy and marketing. Therefore, it would be great to be offered an internship in these areas.
