Why TSM South Korea
I have always wanted to travel to Korea for few years. I love the country and its culture. Study mission provide me the greatest chance to experience Korea's culture for I only able to see it through a lot of dramas I watched (aka my laptop's screen). The rich startup landscape of Korea looks very promising as well, so I am certain that my internship in Korea will turn out to be very fruitful and life-changing event. It was my dream then, it's still my dream now to visit Korea, to feel its breeze, to taste its rain, to step on its soil for one time. And who knows? I might even live and work there for I love the country so much.

What type of internship opportunities interest you?
Whether being mobile developer, web developer, application developer or even animator, I am passionate about using technologies to solve real-world problems. Beside, oversea internship equips me the insights to understand the business scene and industry. There is no better way of understanding the culture than drowning myself in it. By all mean, appreciating one's culture and people is utterly crucial to start up any kind of business.
Any ideal firms (based in South Korea) that you wish to join?
I am particularly interested in working in Kakao and Nexon.

What plan do you have in starting a business? (list existing business)
I am one of the co-founders of SMOO Studio, a tech start-up that focuses on bringing people together by encouraging them to partake in outings in bigger groups. We partnered with various type of merchants including KTV, Cyber Cafe to provide diversity of experiences and connect them to our customers through SMOO platform. SMOO Studio is incubated by SMU IIE (Institute of Innovation & Entrepreneurship). We received $10,000 from IIE and gather interests from many investors. We are in the process of applying for $50,000 ACE Startup Grant from SPRING Singapore.
Past Experiences
Describe your past experience (entrepreneurship, or works in start ups etc)
One of the main reasons I enrolled in SMU is for the entrepreneurship experiences, to connect with brilliant minds, to exchange new ideas to change the world. I joined a few number of startups in three years of my studies including LittleVoiceGames, a social game company incubated by IIE. Every company provides me with so many experiences and chances to explore and develop my own abilities. Every founder has their own ideas and determination to leave their marks in business world. All of them inspired me to create my own stories, to begin my own journey. Finally I started my first business with three other students from SMU and NTU in 2013. And I love it.
