Why TSM South Korea?
- What motivates you to join TSM?
I have already started a Technopreneurship a few months back, as one of the co-founders of Sqkii. This is my first start-up licensed under Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority Singapore with a successful patent-pending application from the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore.
To better prepare for the future, I would love to have the opportunity to learn from start-ups that have already been in business for a few years/months. This experience would equip me with knowledge on best practices as well as common pitfalls to better manage my start-up. I have always believed that experience is the best kind of learning anyone can receive for applied knowledge.
- Why pick South Korea?
South Korea has always been one of the leading-edge technological hub in the world. Coincidentally, the Korean language was also the first language I picked up other than my mother tongue. To be honest, I speak Korean better than Mandarin. I go back to Korea annually during the winter with my friends to engage in winter sports like Snowboarding and Skiing. In addition, I have engaged in multiple initiatives with YMCA Korea and have built a wide connection with Korean undergrads. Also, when they come to Singapore, I extend my hospitality to host them in my own home.
Internship Opportunites
- What types of internship opportunities interest you?
I would love to experience opportunities revolving Project Management roles as well as Developer roles to as to extend my capabilities as a well-rounded entrepreneur.
- Any ideal firms (based in South Korea) that you wish to join?
NCSoft, has always intrigued me to wonder how they deliver such high-quality applications and games. In terms of user experience and product design, they have captivated the hearts of many fans.

Leveraging on technology to help other start-ups get the attention they need through our platform. We are also attempting to level the playing field for advertising between large MNCs and small SMEs, with our revolutionary concept of advertising. Barriers of entry for them will be low and, will then be within affordable budgets for any start-up. For every interview that we get, we managed to secure that client on a 100% conversion rate. However, the future might not be as smooth and thus would require reactive efforts to overcome.
I hope that I can learn from the many start-ups that we get to meet during the TSM. And also, help others to achieve theirs and share my thoughts and experience of starting up a company. Achieving this together with Agurz, Tan Janan, Denise, Rafael and Nicholas in my IS480 team, Dr.Jean Labs.
