In conclusion, we take advantage of both R-built-in functions as well as the great variety of libraries readily available on CRAN to build an interactive application that automates the data cleaning, report generation and data visualization construction process for Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. The application is error-prevented and optimized to replace existing manual data cleaning and report generation efforts. Building upon which, it is capable of providing a high level overview, reflecting ongoing changes and trends in existing datasets over a specific time-frame. Furthermore, the reproducible and open-source nature of R creates opportunity for Khoo Teck Puat Hospital to implement more innovative and comprehensive features. R empowers the application to effectively bridge the gap between Khoo Teck Puat Hospital’s business requirements and its technical capabilities as reflected in the fields of data analysis and statistical model simulations. In this scenario, R outperforms other data processing tools like, Python and Visual Basics, primarily due to its default built-in data analysis functionalities and easily customizable nature.
