Problem Overview
There has been concern over the poor air quality in Bulgaria, which has the highest PM2.5 concentrations of all EU-28 member states in urban areas over a three-year average, and PM10 daily mean concentrations of 77 μg/m3 (EU limit value is 50 μg/m3).
Visual analytics will be used to reveal spatio-temporal patterns of air quality in Sofia City (Sofiya-Grad) and to identify issues of concern.
Problem Tasks
- Task 1: Spatio-temporal Analysis of Official Air Quality
- Task 2: Spatio-temporal Analysis of Citizen Science Air Quality Measurement
- Task 3: Reveal the relationships between different factors that affect air quality, and the air quality measures detected in Task 1 and Task 2.
