Recommendations

  • There are trends in the measure levels as can be seen in the analysis.
  • These vary with location and by time.
  • Spikes can be predominantly seen regions such Kohsoom.
  • In order for all the chemicals to be compared, there has to be consistency in measuring.
  • There are gaps in the data at certain time intervals that have to be addressed. This could possibly due to human error or faulty sensors and should be checked.
  • More information is required with respect to the water flow and volume of water as this will give an idea as to how far and fast the chemicals travel affecting the wildlife in the process and about the dumping site.
  • Sampling points within the reserve should be well spaced out and calculated for better accuracy.
  • Frequency of sampling should be regular based on the type of chemical.
  • Recordings from the sensors should be monitored very closely to identify errors.
  • Additional information such as migratory patterns and geographical conditions will help in understanding the environmental damage.
  • The variation in the values of the chemicals, water hardness, temperature and oxygen levels over time alters the environment possibly affecting the flora and fauna within.
