Conclusion
We have already got a lot of insights through the data visualizations, now it's time to draw the conclusion:
1. Specific routes of the park have been used as short-cuts:
• entrance 2, entrance 4; (two-way)
• entrance 0, entrance 3; (two-way)
• entrance0, general-gate4, general-gate7, entrance1; (two-way)
• entrance3, general-gate7, entrance1; (two-way)
It's noticed that some time slots have relatively more frequencies of this kind of records, which are 3am and 6am. Also, there are records happened from 7pm to 12am, which should be the time when birds were resting. So, actually cars shouldn't enter the park only to take a short-cut during birds' resting time at a cost of disturbing birds.
2. Multiple-day camping trips might cause some troubles:
Only car_type 1, 2, 3 have camping trip records. For single-day trip, all records occurred between 5am and 7pm, especially 8am to 4pm, which should be fine. However, for multiple-day camping trips, traffic records spread out in whole day and hence may have negative effect on birds, like the sounds the lights of cars can disturb them.
3. Illegal records at the gate:
It's known that only car_type "2P" can cross gates. However, some illegal records of car_type "4" have been caught! These records have the same path:
• entrance3, gate6, ranger-stop6, gate5, general-gate5, gate3, ranger-stop3, ranger-stop3, gate3, general-gate5, gate5, ranger-stop6, gate6, entrance3;
All the records happend on either Tuesday or Thursday, and from 2am to 5am. It's suspected that these cars might have tried to do some illegal things within the park. We need the rangers to help detect on this to get more clues to prevent the possible damages to the birds' habitat.
