To find out IDs that stand out for their large volumes of communication, we separately queried counts of receive and send messages/calls by ID, then present IDs with top 10 counts as above. It’s obvious those three IDs are 1278894, 839736, external

There’s no records of sending messages/out-going calls from ID external, so we speculate it as an external spot, such as social media platform. As we can see, on Sunday, there’s an unusual spike appear at Wet land between 11:45am and 12:00pm. Since people tends to post unusual or special event on social media, so we suspect the vandalism was discovered at that time.

From sending patterns we can find, 839736’s location is always entry corridor, besides, it has extremely large volumes of communication, so we consider it as information counter which provides consultation services for visitors. As we can see there’s an unusual spike on Friday morning before 9:00am, appear at Coaster Alley where the Pavilion located. Also, Friday is the first day of Scott’s show, so we consider the first Scott’s show should start at 9:00am on Friday. Visitors sending messages to ask for information about Scott’s show is the reason for the spike. Then on Sunday, there’s an unusual spike appear at Wet Land between 12:00pm and 12:30pm. That’s the time period right after vandalism was discovered, so visitor all sent messages to 839736 to ask for detailed information about vandalism and Scott’s show.

It’s obvious that receiving patterns of 1278894 are in periodic cycle, with average cycle of two hours. While for sending patterns, it’s relatively flat, except for 3pm to 4pm on Friday and Saturday. Communication records appear at 12pm rather than 8:00am, and end at 9pm every day. Besides, the location for 1278894 is always at entry corridor. So we consider it as a park announcement account, which sends out park announcements, provide registration services for all kinds of rides, etc. Since Scott’s show is from 9:00am to 11:00am, and 2:00pm to 4:pm, so there’s lower communication volume appear between 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Friday and Saturday. Since the show on Sunday afternoon was canceled due to vandalism, visitors choose to take rides instead of watching the show, so there’s no lower period of communication volume on Sunday.
