Data Preparation



Using JMP, the data is imported for each day and the Communication Data and Movement data are joined together (twice) based on IDs(From & To) and TImeStamp. With this we have the Coordinates of Each ID at time of call.The Extra Columns are removed. Note that the IDs have to be imported as Characters.

  • Consolidated Data

From the Communication Data, we are given the Location, of the caller(This is another assumption). With this the consolidated data for Saturday and Sunday are union-ed and used as training data in R to model a decision tree for predicting location of call receivers from the X & Y coordinates.

Next the Data is summaries by location to see how many times the ID visited each part of the theme park. This is done for all 3 days, and their results is left joined with each other, to find movements of IDs over all 3 days.
