Goals

Usability

  • All users should be able to archieve all tasks described without asking for help
  • 90% of users will be able to perform a similar task on a card in a shorter time after their first attempt

Look and Feel

  • 90% of users are satisfied with the layout of the cards on the canvas i.e. cards are not too big or not too small
  • 90% of users that this application looks presentable and aesthetically pleasing

Test Result

The results gathered can be found here:

Insight

The main insights gathered were that users were able to perform similar tasks in a much shorter time period after their first attempt. The second insight gained was that users felt the cards (functions on Marry.SG) was too cramped up on the canvas.

Follow up

As such, we made changes to Guest Manager, Wedding Discover, and the overall Wedding Application Canvas.

The tasks assigned can be found here:
Marreo User Testing 2 Task Document

Demographic

Users: Married individuals
Number of User: 2
Venue: Cafes

Brief information of the married individuals

  • User 1
    • Groom
    • Age 27
    • Married on January 2015
    • Planned together with his wife.
  • User 2
    • Bride
    • Age 28
    • Married on September 2013
    • She did most of the research and planning.

Goals

Usability & Functions

  • All users should agree that the components used are relevant and important to wedding planning
  • All users will be able to use the tools without help from the facilitator

Test Result

The results gathered can be found here:
Marreo User Testing 2 Results Collation (Validation)

Insight

The main insights gathered were that users felt a need to have reminders and a budget function included in Marry.SG.
As such, we included reminders as a feature to be implemented after midterms. However, for budget, due to time constraints, we will be unable to add it into our scope.

User Testing 3 (Validation)

Marreo usertest3.png
Objectives
Are we building the right product?

The tasks assigned can be found here:
Marreo User Testing 3 Task Document

Demographic

Users: Married individuals
Number of User: 7
Venue: Various Place

Brief information of the married individuals

  • Marriage status:
    • 4 married men 2 married women 1 groom
  • Race:
    • 4 Indians 2 Chinese 1 Malay

Goals

  • To find pain points identified by the testers while using the application
  • To gather suggestions/feedback after using the application (unguided navigation)
  • To verify content of prepopulated information (eg. In Things to Do) and validate functions in Marry.SG

Test Result

The results gathered can be found here:
Marreo User Testing 3 Results Collation (Validation)

Insight

The double scrolling on the main page and within cards was a pain point identified by 5 out of 7 users. In order to solve that, the developers added an icon to enable and disable screen scrolling as highlighted in the first screenshot below.
The second insight was the browser capability of Marry.SG. Previously, Marry.SG was only usable on Chrome browser. However, it is not available on 3 other browsers as seen in the second screenshot below.
