Team Reflections

Communication

Our team has better communication for the past 5 weeks. We have learnt how to express our thoughts, opinions and suggestion in a open manner where no idea is a stupid idea. We support each other and learnt from each other of what can be improved via our communication and shifted our main source of communication channel from whatsapp to Facebook chat.

Knowing that our team is busy with the project, Project Management made it easier for us by tracking the bugs on google docs rather than creating a document on Dropbox for the coders to track the bug metrics.

To improve the smooth tracking of function completion status, we are using a channel via Trello. If coders have completed the story on Trello, check the story in order for us to test the function online.

Client's expectations

We have learnt that it is not easy to manage client's expectation. They may not understand the complexity of the project of what the codes comprises. But we have learn how to manage their expectations for the past 5 weeks in order to make sure that our project is not out of track and behind schedule. We have learnt how to become change agents in order to handle incoming constant change requests from both users, advertisers and sponsor.

Business side has gathered all the feedback and bugs found by the users via Sqkii's connection FB group to keep track all the bugs/problems/feedback garnered from beta users. This allow us to be informed of the latest bug found online and acknowledge it when we have completed it. However, in view of the tight schedule, we implemented Change Management in place to juggle user's/client's expectation. Events that might be high priority to the business side but might too time-consuming for our scope. We will then review with them with our relevant concerns and better alternatives to be taken.

Knowledge sharing

Learning never stops. This project has greatly enhance each other knowledge and we all learnt from one another.
