Why Virtual TSM?
- What motivates you to join TSM?
Honestly, I've not went to anywhere else other than Malaysia. TSM provides a great opportunity for me to expose myself to the world, and at the same time learn more about entrepreneurship in the tech industry! Furthermore, it would be an amazing experience for me to see the beauty of SV, a place where many tech enthusiast would love to visit one day.
Not only that, meeting like minded people to go on a journey to explore together overseas is a great experience that would add colours to my SMU journey 👺
- Where would you like to visit?
Silicon Valley: VMWare, Cisco Systems, Intel, Apple
These are some of the companies I would wanna visit. They are some of the leading industry leaders that pique my interest.
Places like the Intel Museum would be interesting to see, along with the recent Splunk acquisition from Cisco, it makes me wonder how much more they can achieve in their greenery building!
I would also like to visit the Apple Park, and perhaps get some products there because I love technology!
Also... perhaps visiting the investment and banks in the area! My recent interest in finance would love to visit them and understand how the meltdown of the Silicon Valley Bank impacted tech startups!
Aside from exploring the technology capital, I would like to see the other attractions in the area.
Starting a business
- What types of business interest you?
Businesses that are related to cybersecurity, servers and networking are definitely something I wanna see, but I'm also interested to see how Apple works when pushing out products and how they sell to clients by just refreshing their lineup of items, it's so cool! Imagine selling the same few items yet hitting such big numbers, what a dream!
I've also considered starting a platform to teach people how to code, most likely a non-profit-driven-business, as I believe everyone should be able to enjoy learning together without burning their pockets.
- What plans do you have in starting a business?
I have thought of trying to start a small business to experiment with, and using technology to optimise the business processes. I plan to get more capital first, and pick up a variety of skills to see what I can start with. Perhaps my obsession over ToastBox and YaKun might drive me to startup a classic chain of coffeeshop business, but it is still too early to tell! 🫣
- What do I want to achieve with a business?
I think gaining experience and having fun along the way is all that matters to me. Life is a journey after all! Ultimately, I hope that having a business that can help people would be the best.
