TSM is a great way to meet business leaders across Asia and gain entrepreneurship experience first-hand. I wish to make use of this opportunity to build connections, ask leaders pressing questions about entrepreneurship and understand the challenges of starting and managing a business, a career path I am inclined towards. Nonetheless, it will also allow me to build new friendships :)

When I entered university, I had absolutely no clue what I wanted to do once I graduated. Recently, during my summer internship (Software Engineering at DBS), I realised that perhaps a 9-5 job isn’t for me. I was sure of that. My summer internship was a great learning experience for me as I was hungry to learn, however, it was also an eye-opener and questioned me if I wanted to do something like this in the future. I have a few ideas in my mind, and I am definitely sure that I want to build my own business because without trying I would never know what could've been!

Why Virtual TSM?

  • What motivates you to join TSM?

TSM is a great way to meet business leaders across Asia and gain entrepreneurship experience first-hand. I wish to make use of this opportunity to build connections, ask leaders pressing questions about entrepreneurship and understand the challenges of starting and managing a business, a career path I am inclined towards. Nonetheless, it will also allow me to build new friendships :)

  • Where would you like to visit virtually?

I would love to meet leaders from Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Japan. Each of the following locations has different cultures and are innovation hotspots in Asia. I am extremely curious about how business leaders from different locations think, come up with ideas and solve problems. As we are having a virtual TSM, we can hopefully meet people from different countries and learn more!

Starting a business

  • What types of business interest you?

To be honest, any business which aims to solve problems humans are currently facing so that the society benefits from it. My perception about start-ups usually involve a “tech solution”, however, sometimes the simplest of ideas are the ones which work the best hence I keep an open mind while learning.

  • What plan do you have in starting a business?

When I entered university, I had absolutely no clue what I wanted to do once I graduated. Recently, during my summer internship (Software Engineering at DBS), I realised that perhaps a 9-5 job isn’t for me. I was sure of that. My summer internship was a great learning experience for me as I was hungry to learn, however, it was also an eye-opener and questioned me if I wanted to do something like this in the future. I have a few ideas in my mind, and I am definitely sure that I want to build my own business because without trying I would never know what could've been!
