Why TSM New York City?
- What motivates you to join TSM?
The ability to better understand both the business landscape in the United States got me really curious in this TSM. I'm excited to learn more about how companies in the US differ from Singapore, in the aspects of technological niche as well as the working culture in those companies. From this program I also hope to build networks that will potentially help me to work or partner with companies in the US.
- Why pick New York City?
New York has a long history of successes, forming the bedrock of the economy in the United States. It's the world's leading financial center and the most economically powerful city that is bustling and vibrant all day long. Last summer, I went for an overseas summer school program at UC Berkeley, in California but I didn't had an opportunity to visit companies and how working there in New York feels like. With this TSM, it will enable me to achieve one of the goals that I have set out for myself.
Starting a business

I'm interested in software companies. Satya nadella once said that every company is a software company. So more specifically, companies that deals with IoT/AI and sustainability is of huge interest to me.
- What plan do you have in starting a business? (list existing business)
Recently, I have started a legal tech firm with my friends from NUS Law and Cornell University. Our company helps corporate secretary firms maintain and generate their legal documents more efficiently.

What keeps you ticking?
Solving complex problems that affects the world we live in, empowering the society around us. Understanding that the time we have on earth is limited, drives me to break down long-term goals into achievable short-term goals, it’s important to celebrate small wins which eventually helps us attain our eventual goal. In the future, I hope to sustain myself through my own businesses and support my family and loved ones.
