| − | I am deeply interested in entrepreneurship and in the start-up culture in Silicon Valley. The culture in America is undoubtedly different from that in Singapore, and I hope to pick up some of the skills that these diverse and wide-ranging people have, and to make practical use of them in Singapore. I also am looking forward to meeting like-minded people and to expand and build on our passions together.

| − | Silicon Valley is one of the most innovative places in the world, and being surrounded by such a vibrant and creative atmosphere would be a privilege. I hope to hone my skills in communication and my entrepreneurship mindset, and to come back to Singapore and hopefully start up a business that is progressive and that incorporates Western views and ideas in Singapore’s Eastern mindset. It is my ambition that the merging of both schools of thought will motivate more people to develop entrepreneurial thinking and even revolutionize the entrepreneurship scene in Singapore – and a good place to start would be visiting the very place that triumphs innovation in the world.

| − | I am interested in the fields of hospitality, sharing economy, technology, and businesses that have a strong start-up culture. Businesses that have an environment of constantly brainstorming new ideas and being open to novel and daring steps forward in growing their business interest me.
